If you want to learn one language, Open Culture is a great option, especially if DuoLingo doesn’t offer the language you want to learn.
Open Culture has 48 language options available. You can learn languages such as Russian, Mandarin, Icelandic and Gaelic.
Open Culture also has an option to download mp3 files. During the language learning process, hearing the language is important. And this option benefits those who prefer learning a new language by hearing and speaking it.

BILINGUA

Similar to Open Culture, Livemocha offers a wide variety of languages and different ways to learn and practice your new language. Livemocha currently offers 35 languages.

Keep in mind, Livemocha closed in 2016. It was replaced with Bilingua, which offers a similar service.
Bilingua was created by Livemocha users under the same morals and standards as Livemocha. Bilingua is also completely free and offers additional services, such as language learning games.
Bilingua will match you with native speakers, based on your expertise.
You’ll also take personality quizzes to ensure you and your teacher will get along. You two may even get along so well, you can offer additional help on non-language relating topics.

 BUSUU

If you want an alternative to Livemocha and Bilingua, Busuu uses a similar system. They have a platform of 500 million native language speakers. You’ll specifically learn a language from these users.
This is why many reviewers state Busuu is just as similar to a classroom-learning environment as well as an online class and app system.
Busuu is also more intense than other online and app language learning platforms. That’s why Busuu is compared to Rosetta Stone. They even offer the GSET (Global Scale of English Tests) for users learning English.
Keep in mind, Busuu only offers a few languages. The basic service is free but they also offer a paid premium service.
